West Sussex County Council has asked the public to provide feedback on suggested improvements to sustainable transport in Burgess Hill.
The propositions are part of a larger initiative to enhance cycling and public transport throughout the town, supporting the Burgess Hill Growth Programme.
The county council, in collaboration with Mid Sussex District Council, has created more than 15km of pedestrian and cycling paths, improved bus stops and public spaces in the programme’s first phase.
The new plans aim to improve facilities around Victoria Business Park to encourage travel and economic growth.
Suggested upgrades include wider footways and cycleways, pedestrian crossings, bus infrastructure improvements and parking improvements.
People can give feedback on the plans until Friday, November 28 at yourvoice.westsussex.gov.uk/victoria-business-park-access-and-connectivity.
Councillor Garry Wall, cabinet member for economy and skills at West Sussex County Council, said: “Victoria Business Park plays a vital role in our local economy.
“These improvements will make it easier and safer for people to walk, cycle or take the bus, helping businesses become more sustainable and promoting growth in local job opportunities which will support the aim of our Economic Strategy to boost productivity growth, investment and innovation within the county.”
