Pc Peter De Silvo, 48, is alleged to have stalked a woman known to him for two years between October 2021 to 2023.
He is also charged with fraud by false representation, two counts of computer misuse and five charges under the Data Protection Act, the earliest dating back to 2018.
On Friday at Staines Magistrates Court, Surrey, De Silvo spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth.
The officer, who was wearing a black raincoat over a shirt and tie, is alleged to have hacked accounts and misused police equipment like ANPR cameras to stalk his victim, the court heard.
His case was adjourned for defence counsel to receive instructions before he enters pleas on January 16.
De Silvo, of Worthing, has been granted conditional bail with a no contact condition.
Sussex Police have said misconduct proceedings will be considered after criminal proceedings have concluded.
