CHARLIE MANBY has been living the dream and it’s only gone and got even BETTER.
The 20-year-old – who has been back working as a bricklayer after his Ally Pally heroics – has earned a PDC tour card.
£60,000 is hitting his bank account after reaching the fourth round at the World Darts Championship before losing out to eventual finalist Gian van Veen.
Following the tournament and his new found fame, the humble youngster was back on the building site.
But he will now get the chance to live his dream after securing his tour card at the UK qualifying school.
He defeated darting icon Steve Beaton, with Tyler Thorpe and Stephen Rosney also sealing their sports via the Q School ranking list.
Manby has now earned his golden ticket, which he will hold for the next two years and be able to compete in PDC ProTour events.
The hard work starts now as he looks to maintain his place at the end of the two-year cycle, but for now it is cause for celebration for the Englishman.
He will look back in what has been an incredible couple of weeks as he continues to live out his dream.
Manby recently spoke to ITV News about life on the building site as a freelance bricklayer – a job that has been his main income for three years.

He said: “For the past three years I have been doing this job, it has been my main income and I actually enjoy it.
“It’s a good laugh on the site and you are getting a good week’s wage at the end of it as well.
“You’ve always got something to fall back on if the darts don’t go your way.”
He was also asked what he would be spending his big £60k windfall from Ally Pally on to celebrate his success.
He revealed his eyes are on a new car and watch – but he will now be hoping it is only the start of big things to come in the sport.
He admitted: “Maybe when it hits the bank I will have a think.
“I need a new car, so probably look at one of them and maybe a watch.”
