    A MAN has tragically died after falling from the roof of a popular shopping centre.

    Cops have launched an investigation after the victim “suffered a fall from height” in broad daylight in Southampton, Hampshire, on Sunday.

    Emergency crews were scrambled to the city’s Westquay shopping centre at around 11.39am.

    Hampshire Police confirmed it received reports of the fall from the South Central Ambulance Service.

    Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man was sadly declared dead at the scene.

    The force said: “We were called by colleagues from the ambulance service at 11:39am on November 30 to reports of a man having suffered a fall from a height at Westquay on West Quay Road in Southampton.

    “Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed.

    “Officers are conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances that led to this incident.”
