Topps Tiles, a store that specialises in indoor and outdoor coverings for floors and walls in Pasteur Road, will stop trading in May.

The Yarmouth branch is a special Clearance Outlet, offering mixed batch boxes of tiles and heavily discounted “grab it before it’s gone” items as well as regular stock.

Priding itself on being able “to suit every taste and budget”, the business has stood on the outskirts of the town for years.

Staff will be redeployed “where possible” following the closure, with the nearest Topps Tiles being in Hall Road, Norwich.

A spokesman for the business said: “We can confirm that the Great Yarmouth store will be closed.

“Each year, the group looks at the location, profitability and performance of each of our stores.

“This is something we do to ensure we are in the right locations, with the right resources and can continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.

“Customers will also still have full access to Topps Tiles products and services through nearby stores and our enhanced online platforms.”
