Ex-PC Daniel Kennedy, of Sussex Police, breached standards and disregarded orders while under investigation, a gross misconduct hearing heard.
The hearing heard Kennedy was placed under restrictions on August 3, 2025, during a misconduct investigation into allegations of domestic abuse involving three women over a nine-year period.
He was instructed not to contact any of the victims but was later seen on CCTV with one of them on August 15.
They were then found together again during a police vehicle stop on August 25.
Criminal investigations were launched, but after thorough enquiries there was found to be insufficient evidence to support a charge.
Kennedy resigned on November 8, 2025, after being told he would face accelerated gross misconduct proceedings.
A gross misconduct hearing on December 11 found he had breached the standards of Orders and Instructions, Honesty and Integrity, and Discreditable Conduct.
He was placed on the College of Policing’s barred list and was told he would have been dismissed, had he not already resigned.
Detective Superintendent Andy Wolstenholme said: “This officer’s breaches of professional standards were sustained over an extended period of time, impacting multiple women.
“He has shown continued disregard for the force’s commitment and measures to protect these women, which has rightly resulted in the end of his policing career.
“Daniel Kennedy’s willingness to breach instructions and standards while being investigated for domestic abuse demonstrates clearly that he was not worthy to serve alongside those who dedicate their careers to investigating domestic abuse, and protecting the public.”
