Doha, Qatar: Various parts of the country is witnessing rain of varying intensity, stated Qatar Meteorology Department.
In response to the weather department’s warning of sudden strong wind, thunder and showers, the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation, Kahramaa, through social media has also shared essential safety tips to help residents and citizens avoid electrical hazards during rainy conditions.
Kahramaa advised community members to stay indoors as much as possible and avoid open areas.
It also emphasised the importance of unplugging any electrical appliances that comes into contact with water and refrain from handling them.
Meanwhile the weather department also provided safety tips for motorists to ensure road safety during these weather conditions. These included:
– Changing lanes gradually and cautiously
– Reducing speed
– Maintaining safe distance
– Turning on headlights
– Staying away from distractions such as mobile phones
– Avoiding submerged roads.
