    Roof at 13th Century church in Sutton in the Isle repaired

    St Andrew’s Church, in Sutton in the Isle, near Ely, was recently able to replace the failing vestry roof thanks to a £2,000 grant by the Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust (CamHCT).

    The roof, identified as needing to be replaced during a periodic inspection, was restored to being weather-proof after fundraising efforts, in addition to the Trust’s support.

    The Trust supports congregations in looking after historic places of worship.
