Residents in Seaford struggling to access GP services could be a step closer to seeing the creation of a new medical practice in the town.
NHS Sussex and local GPs have asked Lewes District Council to explore and identify suitable sites for a new surgery and undertake feasibility work.
The creation of a new medical practice depends on the success of a bid for grant funding from the NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board for the project.
Councillor Zoe Nicholson, leader of Lewes District Council said, if successful, the funding will “enable partners to test the best options for the town”.
