The 2025 Sussex Business Awards, organised by Platinum Media Group, was held at The Grand hotel in Brighton on December 4.

Hosted by comedian Hal Cruttenden, the black-tie ceremony unveiled 16 winners, each of which were recognised for their strength, innovation and ambition.

This year’s awards marked the events 37th year.

The highest honour, Company of the Year, was awarded to Crawley-based, premium kitchen and catering equipment company, Dualit.

The award recognised the businesses outstanding performance, enduring craftmanship and significant contribution to the region’s economic success.

Other winners included Kemp Town Bookshop, Wave Community Bank, and Forza Doors.

Maarten Hoffmann, Managing Director of Platinum Media Group, said: “The winners truly represent the very best of Sussex.

“The calibre of entries this year was extraordinary and the judging discussions were some of the most passionate and engaged we’ve ever experienced. The renowned and rigorous judging process means that every winner won on pure merit.

“Selecting just 16 winners from such an exceptional group was no easy task. Every finalist should feel immensely proud – but our winners have demonstrated an outstanding level of innovation, ambition and impact that sets them apart.

“They are a powerful testament to the strength and diversity of the Sussex business community.”

Businesses were judged by a panel comprised of a range of representatives from sponsors.

The event also raised over £12,000 for Brighton children’s charity, Rockinghorse.
