Supporting regulatory excellence, Innovation, Safety, and Growth in the UK Drone Industry.

London, UK – 5th December 2025 – Today marks the official launch of Unmanned Support, a trade body dedicated to representing and supporting professional drone users across the United Kingdom. The organisation aims to encourage regulatory excellence, unite industry professionals, and drive the responsible growth of drone technology in the UK.

Unmanned Support was established in response to calls from across the industry for an open and representative trade body aimed at small operators and startups. Unmanned Support will provide a voice for professionals, offer training and certification programs, and work closely with regulators to ensure safe and effective drone operations.

    Key Objectives:

Advocacy: Represent the interests of professional drone users to government, regulators, and the public. Drive the UK regulator towards the levels of excellence the industry funds and deserves.

Support: Deliver training, materials and resources to promote safe and skilled drone operations.

Networking: Facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing among members and industry experts.

“Unmanned Support was set up in direct response to calls from operators for an organisation that will fight their corner in an increasingly regulated industry. Professional drone users want a body that will provide effective communication with the regulator and related authorities. Operators need to understand the regulatory environment on a tactical and strategic level to plan training and investment. Unmanned Support has an emphasis on supporting current operators, working in the real world to put food on the table now.”

    Graham Degg (Founder)

    Membership Information:

The UK CAA has stated that it will recognise bodies that represent a “significant” proportion of a group of operators, without specifying what that proportion is.

Unmanned Support has therefore set its annual membership prices at “no-brainer” levels for “Supported” members. These members will receive a full range of benefits for an accountant-friendly £50pa.

Those owning a drone who are on their journey to working with drones can support our work with an annual payment of £5.00 by becoming a “Supporter” level member.

Professional drone users and organizations are invited to join Unmanned Support and participate in upcoming events, workshops, and advocacy initiatives.

Organisations that can help operators, either by providing tangible or intangible benefits, work opportunities of other benefits should contact US to discuss partner status.
