St John’s Primary School in St John’s Road, Wallingford, is closed today due a fault with the electrical supply.
The emergency school closure was first listed on the Oxfordshire County Council website on Tuesday, December 2, and was due to last until tomorrow, Thursday, December 4.
However, it has been extended until Friday, when the school is expected to reopen.
A short statement from the school explaining the unplanned closure said: “We have no gas or electricity following an electrical fault.”
With temperatures dropping in early December the school had to close for the safety of its pupils.
St John’s Primary School Wallingford is part of the OPEN Umbrella Trust, a partnership of four South Oxfordshire primary schools, and education to children in Wallingford and beyond.
