Carpenter Box has expanded in Stroudley Road following its recent merger with Boormans, reflecting growing demand for its tax and finance services.
The company, which also operates offices in Worthing, Crawley, Chichester, Lewes, Portsmouth and London, first opened its Brighton location two years ago.
The site was originally staffed by 20 employees from Carpenter Box and StarBox, the firm’s specialist brand for new media entrepreneurs.

Following the merger with Boormans in July, the Brighton team grew with the addition of 12 new staff and one partner.
The team now occupies both the penthouse and lower ground floors of the building and houses around 35 employees.
Stuart Noakes, partner and head of tax services at Carpenter Box, said: “Brighton is a vibrant and dynamic city, and we’re excited to be expanding here.
“It’s home to so many great businesses and entrepreneurs and we’re delighted to be a growing part of that community.”
The expanded space supports the firm’s plans to strengthen services for SMEs, broaden tax advisory support for businesses, and enhance personal tax advice for private clients and high-net-worth individuals.
The office is led by Mr Noakes and supported by Matt Virgo from Boormans, Paula Nurse from the business services team, and Mark Northam from StarBox.
All three have recently joined the board as partners.
Earlier this year, tax associate director Zelie Byrne also joined the Brighton office to further strengthen its tax advisory offering.
Carpenter Box employs more than 270 partners and staff across its seven offices and has been advising and supporting clients for more than 100 years.
