Court records show York Handmade Brick, based at Alne, near Easingwold, filed the application on Friday, represented by law firm Addleshaw Goddard.
The firm, which has been running since 1988, declined to comment when contacted by The Yorkshire Post.
The company’s most recent annual accounts for 2024, which were published in September this year, state the firm has 26 employees.


The company recently won a national prize at the Brick Awards for work on York Racecourse and last year also picked up an award at the same event for its work on 5 St Frederick’s Place in the heart of City of London.
It has previously won the RIBA Stirling Prize 2022, for its Magdalene College Library project in Cambridge.
The company was also honoured in the Brick Awards for its work on St Albans Cathedral in 2021 and for both the Peter Hall Performing Arts Centre at Perse School in Cambridge and the Loxley Stables residential housing project in Hertfordshire in 2019.
In 2018 the company was honoured for its involvement in the acclaimed Westgate Centre in the heart of historic Oxford and for the Halifax Library.
