The Amarillo Brick Convention is coming back to the Amarillo Civic Center on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 10-11. According to a news release sent by the company, it will be the “ultimate event” for LEGO lovers of all ages, described as one of the largest LEGO events in the United States. Whether you’re a fan of the giant builds, city displays, specialty creations from the “Star Wars” universe or even just the beautiful botanical sets, the event promises to have something for everyone.
Since 2023, the Brick Convention has made charitable contributions valuing more than $65,000. Once again, the event will be supporting Creations for Charity, with a portion of the proceeds going to the all-volunteer nonprofit organization. Creations for Charity is an organization that buys new LEGO sets for underprivileged children around the world during the holidays.
Chris and Angela Moore, owners of the Bricks & Minifigs store at 34th & Georgia in Amarillo, said that they are going to attend the convention but won’t have a booth. Moore said he planned to attend YC3 and AmaCon.

“We are promoting the Brick Convention in our store,” he said.
The Amarillo store is one of the only Bricks & Minifigs locations north of Lubbock in the Texas Panhandle to have LEGO products and bricks that work with the LEGO sets. LEGO owns all their franchises, so the Amarillo owners contracted with LEGO to buy their products and started their own gig. The shop holds birthday parties for kids and their friends, along with other special events and products.
