Lime Kiln Kitchen at Thetford Garden took home the Sustainability Award 2025, which is handed out by Garden Centre Catering Magazine.

The restaurant had previously taken the gong for best garden centre restaurant.

However, despite not winning the award this year, Lime Kiln Kitchen was still “highly commended” by the National Garden Centre Awards (GCA).

Peter Burks, chief executive officer of the Garden Centre Association, said: “Through our annual inspections, we know our member garden centres have some of the highest standards in our industry.”

It comes following a year of renovations for the garden centre restaurant in 2025.

Lime Kiln Kitchen completed the building of a bakery in March.

The “significant development project” also saw an increase in the shop floor space, as well as the addition of the bakery.

Lucy Nixon, managing director of the garden centre, said at the time: “We have always strived to make as much as possible in-house, but our previous kitchen size limited our production capabilities.”
