The incident took place shortly after 5am on Sunday, January 11, on the A4 London Road in Marlborough, where scaffolding had been erected.
Eyewitnesses say a HGV was travelling on the route when it collided with part of the scaffolding, causing it to collapse and causing damage to the buildings.
It is understood that the driver stopped at the scene and police quickly descended.
The road was blocked for some time while the scaffolding was deconstructed.

One eyewitness said: “A HGV driver collided with the extended poles that were not marked out and the scaffold collapsed and dragged, taking out parts of three bay windows with two of the three being almost fully destroyed, gutters and sections of the roof being scraped off alongside this.
“This then blocked the road for a couple of hours completely while the police did a fantastic job of controlling the situation.
“The scaffold company quickly came down to deconstruct the scaffolding and then the shop owners and tenants found out later that morning.
“This has caused disruption to two local businesses and two homeowners.”
The eyewitness emphasised that they do not believe the HGV driver was at fault for the incident.
