    South East Water: Major incident declared as thousands across Kent and Sussex without water

    South East Water: Major incident declared as thousands across Kent and Sussex without water

    Schools closed due to lack of waterpublished at 07:42 GMT

    A number of schools in Kent and Sussex have announced they will be closed for the day due to having no water.

    In East Sussex, the schools and preschools closed include Ashurst Wood Primary, Ashurst Wood Community preschool, Imberhorne both, Blackwell and Escots, Brambletye School, Tiny Tigers, Jack and Jill preschool, Little Gemz Nursery, Sackville, The Meads, Paddington Pre-school, St Peter’s Primary and Jaybees.

    In Kent, the schools that have announced they will shut for the day include Lower Street in Leeds, Ulcombe C of E Primary School and Speldhurst in Tunbridge Wells.

    And in East Grinstead, the libraries at King Centre and Chequer Mead are also closed.
