    Bubblegum Bathrooms gets approval for new city showroom

    Bubblegum Bathrooms submitted plans to convert an empty industrial unit at the Bowthorpe Employment Area in Robberds Way last month.

    Now Norwich City Council has approved the plans the company – currently based at Turnpike Close in Hellesdon – will be able to open its new showroom.

    The business sells a range of bathroom appliances and accessories such as showers, baths, taps and lights – with a husband and wife team boasting “more than 30 years of experience in the bathroom industry”.

    The plan, submitted to Norwich City Council, is to: “Change the use of the site from class B8 – buildings used for storage or distribution purposes – to a class E – a commercial class.”

    The site plan shows that the area will be used as a showroom for the business, which will include a toilet, basin and manual roller shutter.
