“A scaffolding division was a natural progression for Stowen because it aligns with our core services supporting construction, energy and industrial projects,” said Cameron Silom, technical director of Stowen Scaffolding and Access Ltd.

“Scaffolding plays a critical role in ensuring safe access and structural support, particularly in challenging environments like offshore platforms and complex industrial sites where Stowen already has a strong presence.”

Over the past decade, Stowen has made its mark in the energy sector, securing multi-million-pound contracts for some of the region’s largest offshore wind farms.

It is now looking to build on this success with further growth across other sectors.

“Our scaffolding expertise can add significant value in environments such as refineries, industrial plants and large housing estates,” said Cameron.

“Expanding into these sectors allows us to leverage Stowen’s established reputation and experience within renewables and industrial services, as well as provide comprehensive support across multiple project types.”

Cameron began his career as an apprentice and was named Apprentice of the Year at National Construction College East.

He subsequently built a successful scaffolding business, which later merged with Stowen.

“Customers can expect a reliable, experienced team led by industry professionals who prioritise safety, efficiency and high-quality workmanship,” said Cameron.

“Our commitment to sustainable practices, such as reusing all scaffolding equipment, further ensures that we deliver responsible, cost-effective solutions.”

Stowen specialises in full project management and offers a comprehensive scaffolding solution that goes beyond traditional services.

“Ideally, we look for projects where we can offer integrated solutions, from initial design and planning to on-site installation and dismantling,” said Cameron.

“Whether for large developers, energy firms or industrial operators, our expert team provides a seamless, cost-effective service tailored to meet each client’s specific needs.”

The company is proud of its East Anglian roots, which enables it to support clients throughout Suffolk and Norfolk.

“This enables us to handle projects of all sizes, ensuring we consistently meet client needs with both speed and a high standard of service.”

Stowen’s reach also expands far beyond the East of England, with projects recently completed as far north as Scotland.

“Our commitment to expanding our coverage means we can take on large-scale and diverse projects across the UK, delivering the same level of quality, reliability and safety that clients expect from Stowen, no matter the location,” said Cameron.

“This flexibility allows us to support a wide range of sectors, with the agility needed to ensure successful project delivery.”
