Detectives have released images of a man they want to trace in connection with the alleged rape

Police are appealing for assistance after a man was allegedly raped and then robbed of his watch in a sickening town centre attack. CCTV images of a man detectives want to talk to have been released by the force investigating the incident.

The alleged incident took place on High Street in Crawley, West Sussex, in the early hours of October 15. The victim is currently receiving support from specially trained officers, the Mirror reports.

Sussex Police said: “We received a report that a man aged in his 30s had been attacked at an address in the High Street on 15 October in the early hours. The suspect also stole his watch and cash before making off.”

Detective Inspector Becki Buckley added: “We are continuing to make extensive enquiries in this case and are keen to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him, please contact us.”

If you can provide any information that could assist Sussex Police’s investigation, please report online or phone 101 quoting serial 119 of 15/10.
