Ajit Chambers, named by the Minister of State for Business Innovation and Skills as “One of the top 15 Entrepreneurs to watch in the Country”, has made his mark in London and Geneva.
With 20 years of banking experience, Chambers has advised three London mayoral candidates on strategy, using his connections with ultra-high-net-worth individuals to set up campaign donor meetings.
His meetings in City Hall saw him engaging with the Defence Select Committee Chair, Lord Arbuthnot and the FBI, to reclaim £50 million to the Public Purse.
This was from the illegal sale of Brompton Road, which eventually led to the UK Government sanctioning Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firtash.
With David Lammy using Chambers work to kick off the UK’s ‘fight against dirty cash’ campaign.
Chambers, dubbed “Indefatigable” by Boris Johnson, now seeks to bring his “business planning documentation” to Sussex, aiming to improve local government accountability.
Despite being considered a dark horse in the race, Chambers’ business acumen is anticipated to make him a strong competitor for the mayoral position.
His campaign is expected to focus on delivering “deliver proper world class service to Sussex”.
